Characteristic aspects of instructions for protection and safety at work are that many employees have to be trained regularily, that these trainings have to be verified, that trainings often lead to lost working hours, that they often include a logistic and organizational effort, that the education papers have to be held interesting and up-to-date and that often workplace related contents are required.

Instructions at the computer can be used in a flexible way, e.g.

• as education in a remote learning scenario, everybody at his workplace,
• as vivid supplement to a face-to-face instruction or
• via the internet or CD-ROM.

Learning contents can easily be updated, the learning progress can easily be checked, the verification of trainings can be automated, you save money due to less travels and less lost working hours. And the didactic variety and the learning material's workplace related vividness lead to a higher quality and an optimal information transfer in the education. Digital learning media have also gained more acceptance in the work protection training, mainly thanks to the quality and variety of the information representations.
